A Swiftwater Canyoning SAR course designed in conjunction with renowned rescue training team Peak Rescue.
The Peak Rescue Canyoning SAR course is designed specifically for Search and Rescue professionals and canyoneers who are interested in joining SAR teams and seeking canyon SAR training.
This 5-day training program is designed to train participants with essential skills and knowledge to handle emergencies in challenging canyoning environments

Is This Course Appropriate For Me?
This course is intended for people with technical rope experience, and or swift water rescue experience. Canyoning experience isn’t necessarily required, but students coming from this discipline can move into leadership roles during scenarios.
What If I Want To Join The Course But Don’t Have Any Canyon Experience?
Wild Sky Guides will operate a custom 3 to 4 day introductory to PNW Canyoning course in Snoqualmie Pass area the week leading up to the Peak Rescue CSAR course. The custom course will take place over 3-4 days and will be designed to prepare students to participate in the Peak Rescue CSAR course. Contact Wild Sky Guides for more details.
What Equipment Do I Need?
- Full body 4/3 seam sealed wetsuit or canyon wetsuit
- Appropriate canyon footwear (canyon boots, SWR boots, approach shoes, light hiking boots)
- Helmet rated for mountaineering use

- SWR whistle (Fox40)
- Knife (SWR knife)
