COURSE OVERVIEW
A Swiftwater Canyoning Rescue course designed in conjunction with renowned rescue training team Peak Rescue.
The Peak Rescue Canyon Rescue Pro course is designed specifically for Search and Rescue teams, Rescue Professionals and Recreational Canyoners who are interested in joining SAR teams and seeking canyon SAR training.
This 5-day training program is designed to train participants with essential skills and knowledge to handle emergencies in the most challenging swiftwater canyoning environments

- Focus: Canyoning SAR

- Skills Required: SAR Training and/or Rope Rescue Training

FAQ’s
Is This Course Appropriate For Me?
This course is intended for people with technical rope and/or swiftwater rescue experience. Canyoning experience isn’t necessarily required, but students coming from this discipline can move into leadership roles during scenarios.

What If I Want To Join The Course But Don’t Have Any Canyon Experience?
Peak Rescue Guides will operate a custom 3 to 4 day Introductory to Canyoning training with local Washington instructor, Brent Roth. This custom training will take place during the week leading up to the Canyon Rescue Pro course and will be designed to prepare students to participate in the Peak Rescue CSAR course.

What Equipment Do I Need?
- Full body 4/3 seam sealed wetsuit or canyon wetsuit
- Appropriate canyon footwear (canyon boots, SWR boots, approach shoes, light hiking boots)
- Helmet rated for mountaineering use
- Canyon Harness (horizontal attachment point)
- SWR whistle (Fox40)
- Knife (SWR knife)
